Google Chrome Installation error code 0x80004002

Hi, I had such a difficult time trying to resolve this error that I thought I would post the fix for it when I figured it out.

This is not my original solution, I found it while researching but this solved my problem for installing google chrome update.

1.  Go to Start > Run
   2. In the 'Run' window that appears, enter regedit in the text field and click the OK button.
   3. In the 'Registry Editor' window, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Google\Update\Clients\.
   4. Right-click the directory '{430FD4D0-B729-4F61-AA34-91526481799D}.'
   5. Select Delete from the menu that appears.
   6. Close the 'Registry Editor' window.
   7. Try installing the program again.
